Actually Rajkumar got his first trainings for acting and singing from legendary Gubbi Veeranna itself. So in addition to acting he was also a beloved singer. He was such a meaningful legened to Kannada community that when he died in 2006, lot of people tried to commit suicide.

By watching Rajkumar films and listening to his songs, you definitely get closer to Kannada culture. While talking to local people in Karnataka, you can say that you have watched some films with Rajkumar. You would win their hart.
